GIVECAUSE HELP CENTRE

Questions before you give or fundraise?

Here are clear answers to the things visitors and fundraisers ask most often.

How do I start a GiveCause fundraiser?

Create your account, complete the required profile information and choose Start a GiveCause. Add a title, story, image and country. The fundraising target is optional; leave it blank to keep fundraising totals and public donation activity private, or enter a target to display public fundraising progress.

How do I embed my campaign on my website?

Open your published campaign on GiveCause while signed in as the fundraiser. On the campaign page, scroll to the “Embed Your Campaign on Your Website” section and copy the iframe code. Paste that code into the page or HTML block on your own website (the Organizer website) where you want the campaign to appear. Visitors will see the campaign embedded on your website and can read the campaign and donate there without navigating away. The campaign itself and its donation processing remain hosted securely by GiveCause. Only the campaign owner and GiveCause administrators can see the embed code.

What can I fundraise for as an individual, organization or public figure?

Can I set a fundraising goal?

Yes. The fundraising target is optional. If you enter a target, the campaign can publicly show its target, amount raised, donation activity and progress meter. If you leave it blank, the target, fundraising totals, individual donation amounts and public donor activity are hidden from visitors. GiveCause Featured and CauseConnect campaigns keep their existing display rules.

Can donations be recurring?

Where the configured payment gateway supports it, GiveCause can present recurring donation options such as monthly, quarterly or yearly giving.

How does the GiveCause platform fee work?

GiveCause credits the full gross amount of each successful donation to the campaign owner wallet. A flat 6.3% GiveCause platform fee is deducted from the withdrawal amount when the fundraiser requests a withdrawal. Payment-provider processing, currency conversion and payout charges are separate third-party costs and may apply depending on the transaction and payout route.

How do I receive funds?

Eligible fundraisers can request withdrawals when their balance and account status meet GiveCause requirements. Before confirming a withdrawal, the review modal shows the 6.3% GiveCause platform fee and any applicable estimated FX or Flutterwave payout charges. Verification and payment-provider rules may apply before a payout is released.

How does GiveCause protect accounts?

GiveCause uses account controls, email verification, security checks, campaign administration and payment-provider safeguards. Some activity may be reviewed when required to protect users and transactions.

How do I reset my password?

Use the Forgot password option on the Sign In page. A reset link can be issued to a verified email address associated with the account.
